Why I work for Soapbxx

I work for Soapbxx because I can’t imagine a better environment in which to spend the working hours of my life. I get to do what I love most, with a small group of people who love it just as much as I do, and for a client base that cares about its work beyond just the bottom line. Oh yeah, and I get to do it all from paradise.

My life so far

A runaway from the mean streets of Manhattan, I currently reside on the sandy shores of Hawaii’s most populus island, Oahu. After a lifetime of traveling, followed by a few short years of grinding away in the Big Apple, I retired in my mid-twenties to paradise.

A degree in politics from Ithaca College hardly qualifies me for my current responsibilities at Soapbxx, but sadly being born abroad took me out of the running for the Presidency. Since Web development has always been a close second in my heart, it’s what I have chosen to pursue. School and a degree represent hard work and dedication, but they are no substitute for loving your craft. I’ve known in my heart since I first set eyes on a computer monitor that I was destined to live and die by the code.

Things I like and don’t like

I love self-motivators, pork katsu, nature, computers, the sun, chocolate, music, complaining, dogs and traveling.  I hate most people, vegetables, cats, winters/the cold, rules (but I’m a programmer!), taxes (but I’m a Democrat!), ignorance and bliss.
